Our Story
Serving Mandy, Dum Biryani and Maqluba since 2020
Fizi Specialities began its journey in 2020 as a modest home-based venture. What started as family cooking during festive occasions like Hari Raya blossomed into something more significant, as friends and relatives encouraged us to share our culinary creations with a wider audience. Every time we launched our orders, our dishes were gone almost instantly, boosting our confidence to pursue this passion.
On October 7, 2022, we took a significant step forward by opening our first stall at Joo Chiat Complex Coffee Shop. Today, we proudly continue our journey at 60 Changi Road, right across from Geylang Serai Market, serving our signature dishes with the same love and passion that ignited our beginnings.
Our Heritage
Fizi Specialities beautifully intertwines tradition and passion, with Mohamad Ashik at the helm. His journey from a seasoned professional in Interior Design, Property Development and Construction to a purveyor of quality food reflects a deep-rooted desire to honor his family’s culinary heritage. This venture not only keeps the legacy of his grandfathers and uncles alive but also fills a vital role in the community by providing delicious, memorable meals for gatherings.
The personal touch in the brand’s name, “FIZI” adds an intimate layer, connecting Ashik’s commitment to his craft with the love he has for his wife, Faezah. This connection illustrates how family and tradition can inspire and shape a business, making Fizi Specialities not just a provider of food but a heartfelt continuation of a cherished family legacy.
